I think reputation in this forum same with merit system in bitcointalk. It's just that getting a merit on bitcointalk is very difficult while the forum is easier because this forum is still new and the members of this forum are not as many as on bitcointalk.

Well at merit system you can donate more points to a member like 100 too, but here only a like can be offered once. Both are totally different and this likes doesn't bring anything here as some people told.

This is a good forum to build more reputation because of newly built forum and agree what you said in first line.

Well in bitcoinTalk you need merit to rank up meaning merit has connection with forum rank but in here reaction does not have any connection with forum rank.

Merits does not have -1 value but reaction has -1 value 

I think we may find more differences if we think about it deeply 😃

I left bitcointalk because of their merit system. My account there is useless. I can't apply in signature campaign because they require a number of merit. It is so disappointing that you can't even have atleast 1 merit even if your post is constructive. And I'm glad that I found this forum. I am really hoping that cryptotalk won't have this kind of system someday.

Thanks for the info and i thought the same thing. However people has said some other things. I hope there should be some more things that a person can be know as trusted member.

I really liked this Reputation very much. It doesn't necessarily have to be something that will save us money or rank. These are things that encourage staying, writing and learning within the forum. People will pay more attention to be able to add Reputation to their profiles and enjoy the pleasure of having passed a stage.

I can't compare the 2 as the reputation here is renewable daily unlike in X forum it is meant for the lifetime and you can have Smerit to give to other users if you will have merit receive. lets just enjoy how we post and learn here.

I think that reputation scores should probably be managed with some sort of supervision, for example complaints should be open for disputes and positive points ought to be limited per person per profile per day.

Of course, and much better. Somehow I signed up for bitcointalk and wanted to express my point of view, they misunderstood me and blocked me. It was a little annoying.
