Хакеры продолжают воровать крипто актива с биржи Cryptopia, которая после крупного взлома в 2019 года находится в процессе ликвидации. Клиенты биржи продолжают ожидать возвращение остатков средств, но видимо хакеры решили выскрести все средства с брошенных кошельков. Как стало известно, в феврале компания Stakenet которая является одним из клиентов бывшей биржи сообщила о том что с ее кошелька были сняты и выведены 45 000 в токене XSN. Всего у них на счету около двух миллионов долларов, которые они надеются получить целиком. Поэтому получив информацию о снятии средств, они тут же обратились к Grant Thornton (компания которая сейчас занимается ликвидацией крипто биржи Cryptopia и который по сути контролирует остатки активов биржи и занимается их распределением среди бывших пользователей). Grant Thornton в ответ сообщила что проводит расследование, так как это была не санкционированная транзакция и он и ничего об этом не знают, и уже обратились в полицию. Stakenet выпустила заявление, в которым призывает чтобы Grant Thornton объяснила, как именно они не смогли защитить активы пользователей, ведь по сути их для этого и нанимали. I have been a day trader since early 2017, and for anyone who has been in crypto long enough I'm sure we have all heard about those crypto hacks, from Mt.gox(850k bitcoins stolen) to bitcoinica (43k bitcoins stolen) to bitfinex (120k). all those hacks have been happening in this crypto world for the start to this day, and it makes you wonder...how would we attract big money players to an investment in crypto if we keep getting hacked without a notice. No matter how good of security an exchange have there is always a chance for it to be hacked and that's the problem with decentralized exchanges, whenever there is a presence of humans in any equation it will cause for a human error, and in exchanges that end up causing it lots of millions just like the binance hack(7000 bitcoins). From this issue we saw the starts of DEX but sadly there was no enough liquidity on those to attract enough people to use DEX. To me, I think there is a high risk in keeping our money in exchanges and i learnt that the hard way having almost 70% of my money in cryptopia when it was hacked, and now I had close to 35% of my crypto in kucoin, although I don't think kucoin will end up like cryptopia. The lesson that everyone should learn is to always keep your money in different exchanges just in case one of them got hacked you dont lose all your money, and to be safer it would be better to send your crypto to a private wallet.

I can still remember that terrible incident which also created a quake on this forum. My friend also lost a huge amount in crypto due to that hack. I faced a really hard time showing other opportunities and possibilities in this crypto world. I think so many members from this forum have also lost their holdings to that hack. If you are one of a victim, here is a piece of good news for you. Last year, the New Zealand-based crypto exchange platform Cryptopia lost $17.85 million worth of cryptocurrency to a hack. Unfortunately, that much amount was from users' deposits, and their assets were gone to the hacker's pocket. Recently, its users have a big win in court that Cryptopia should give the first priority to the users while returning their holdings. Possibly, Cryptopia will open a form to return users' crypto by the end of 2020. So guys, keep tracking their announcement.
